I'm excited, but homesick already!

Only about two weeks left 'till I leave and I can't wait! I'll depart from Midland on February 11th and arrive in Sydney on the 13th. (I will cross an international date line, so I'll skip the 12th altogether. It's a pity I couldn't leave two days later and miss Valentine's Day!) I'm really getting excited and there are so many things I'm looking forward to doing, but there are also many things that I'll miss:

1. family and friends, of course.
2. my church
3. my cat
4. driving
5. country music
6. all of the bright colors in my apartment
7. Mexican food
8. baking (stovetop and microwave only in my apartment)
9. west Texas sunsets
10. seeing the stars

With any luck, I'll make new friends and keep in touch with everyone, find a church in Sydney, find a cute marsupial to adopt, figure out the bus system, utilize my extensive iTunes library, buy lots of brightly colored things (!), eat lots of Indian food, learn to cook on the stovetop, and...well, nothing can replace those sunsets or stars, but at least I'll have the beach!
